Safetrek delivers safety awareness and personal security
training for young travellers both at home and abroad.
Our courses allow young adults to travel, work and live safely
whilst overseas and at home, secure in the knowledge that
if confronted with a difficult situation they are well prepared
to deal with the problem and resolve it successfully.
UK Government statistics show that a significant percentage
of young people experience difficulty abroad every year. Problems
range from the 'minor' (pick-pocketing, loss of documentation,
requirement for first aid) to the much more serious (robbery,
rape and murder). As worrying is the increasing threats of
crime facing university students.
In every case, SAFETREK briefings and training courses deal
directly with these types of situations. We provide young
adults with the intellectual and physical skills needed to
manage the problems they are likely to face.
Our Aim
Is to teach young adults how to become situationally aware
in order to afford them better protection when travelling
abroad or at home. We also offer the basic steps in conflict
avoidance and, as a last resort, self-defence.
The SAFETREK team have all experienced
at first hand many of the types of incidents described above.
The Team's intent is not to frighten or discourage but to
impart our experiences so that young adults will be better
prepared and confident to resolve situations successfully.
